Zero Down Payment, Free Service – Terra Motors Unveils KYORO+ Electric Auto

Japanese OEM Terra Motors has launched its KYORO+ electric auto in India to cater to the growing needs of urban mobility. The launch event at The Lalit, New Delhi, drew industry leaders and policymakers, including Shehzad Poonawalla, National Spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party, highlighting the growing momentum behind e-mobility. Terra Motors has already sold over 1 lakh electric rickshaws in India, and with the new model, it aims to capture 5–8% of the electric three-wheeler market. It also plans to establish 100 dealerships across India and ramp up its production to 5,000 units monthly by the end of 2025. To make KYORO+ accessible, the company is offering zero down payment and free service for the first three visits.
Terra Motors’ senior leadership attended the launch event and discussed developments in India’s EV industry as well as the role of Japanese technology and innovation. “With over a decade of experience in manufacturing and operations in India, Terra Motors has positioned itself as a leader in the country’s EV segment. The company has sold over 100,000 L3 units, making it a market leader in East India,” said Go Suzuki, Managing Director of Terra Motors India. “At Terra, we have been shaping the future of clean mobility with our E-rickshaws. Now, with the launch of KYORO+, we are redefining transport on India’s roads. Our unique zero down payment financing ensures every customer has the freedom to choose the best, making sustainable mobility more accessible than ever,” he added.
Toru Tokushige, Founder & CEO of Terra Motors, also shared his thoughts on the latest
product, saying, “India represents our strongest commitment globally. At Terra, we aim to lead the market through continuous innovation, with a clear goal — to become No.1 in shaping the future of electric mobility. Seeing KYORO+ hit the roads in India will be a proud moment for us. I am confident that our vehicle’s efficient design and performance will set new standards in the electric vehicle market.”
KYORO+ offers a range of up to 200 kilometers on a single charge, accelerates from 0 to 28 km/h in 5.6 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 55 km/h. It is capable of handling gradients of up to 22% even when fully loaded. The L5 model features hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers with helical compression springs, contributing to a smoother ride. Its spacious seating and a large luggage compartment are built keeping in mind passengers’ safety and comfort.
To improve accessibility, Terra Motors is offering zero down payment options through its financing arm, Terra Finance. The company will provide the first three services at no additional cost. After that, maintenance charges will be based on the specific work required and the brand of parts used. For example, an oil change typically costs around INR 400, while other routine services, such as brake adjustments, are expected to remain reasonably priced. Customers can book KYORO+ on the Terra Motors website and at authorized dealerships.
Terra Motors’ Manesar plant, in Haryana, India currently has e-auto manufacturing capabilities of 5,000-10,000 annually. In addition to its manufacturing capabilities, the company operates Terra Charge, which supports EV charging needs at various locations. These initiatives reflect Terra’s long-term strategy to establish a complete EV ecosystem in India, supporting the nation’s shift toward clean energy and next-generation transportation.
